What is Your Company's Why"?

We have had the opportunity for the last several years to build an incredible Sphere of Influence with some incredible successful individuals and their companies.  We have had a chance to see what they do and where they target their success.  Each and every one of these people has always had an incredible "Why". 

At the end of September each year our team puts together our Business Plan for the coming year.  Each team member reviews their individual 2010 goals and production, setting our sites on what we will do in the New Year, and preparing for the collaboration of what the entire Group will set forth and achieve in 2011.  Details matter.  The factor that we always surround ourselves is the "WHY" and how we need to be to create the perfect end result for 2011.

We sort through our lead generation systems, our numbers - projected and actual, our individual specialties and responsibilities, our many systems & technologies, where we need to add or subtract, how we are going to raise the bar, and then we look at our Mission Statement, our "Why".   Again, the details matter, and what also matters is the commitment to every single word of our Mission Statement.

Asking "why" benefits the company and its clients. It helps the company refocus on accomplishments and goals. The "why" motivates employees to continue to work hard and take pride in their work. All of that, in turn, benefits the client because now they are receiving even better service then before.

Thanks for posting. Such a great reminder to all businesses to take a break from the craziness of the everyday and look at the big picture, the why, and to refocus.
